Christmas Time is Here - 2024 - See Christmas Card
Moving Forward!
While we are thinking of many who have lost much to weather-related events this year and are still rebuilding, we can’t help but rejoice in the positive momentum we have experienced this year. Noelle turned 3 on New Year’s Eve, and we’ve been rockin’ the year ever since.
We enjoyed officially honoring King Rew Waltman at the Romany Ball.
Noelle got to see her first play (CYT's Anastasia that Rebekah Rainey directed). She loved it, and also loved seeing Annie later in the year – y’all will not be disappointed by a CYT Baton Rouge production!
In February, Wynne was honored as a top Sales & Marketing Executive – remembering her Mom in her acceptance speech, and glad her Dad (Charlie and Lafayette crew) were able to make the awards luncheon.
So, work is going well for Wynne at the Graham Group and Charlie at the Louisiana Travel Association. With many of Wynne’s clients in tourism, they have been fortunate to also travel together to represent Louisiana at several meetings and tradeshows! Branson, MO was so much fun, and Georgetown, KY was so charming, and we also got to see the incredible Ark Encounter nearby! We have been so blessed to be a part of the tourism industry in our state.
Celebrations with family are always special – even get-togethers just because. David & Nicole have done a lovely job renovating what was our parent’s home – making it a delightful place to connect with family – and also rent out as an Airbnb! [We can connect you if friends or family need a place to stay between LSU and downtown Baton Rouge!]
The St. Patrick’s Day parade is always such a great time – catching up with the O’Brien’s as they ride, and the festivities at Ms. Grace’s house!
Easter was a blessed time – including the neighborhood party!
We finally said goodbye to our sweet, Daisy Dog. At age 16, she lasted much longer than anyone predicted, seeing us through losing Mom last year. When we rescued her, we didn’t expect her to capture our hearts like she did for a dozen years.
We bid a final farewell to Mom, gathering at Dauphin Island where we spent many happy summers, to spread her ashes. It was a bittersweet weekend, walking down memory lane.
The remainder of the summer saw plenty of fun, including gardening, cooking, sun, and fun!
In late summer, Jordan was accepted into Ultrasound School and after a month-long intensive in Mobile, is in clinicals through next fall – we are so proud of her!
And we are pleased to be planning her wedding to Bryce LeBlanc as early as next fall – more details to come, but we can’t wait to welcome Bryce officially into the family! He did such a great job proposing, pulling off a beautiful, picnic-on-the-beach, sunset surprise - it’s not easy to surprise Jordan!
Megan is continuing to prepare young minds with the math skills they need for high school and beyond at Mayfair Lab School – designated a Blue Ribbon School, no less!
And, Noelle continues to grow into a beautiful, little girl, smart as a whip and charming all of our hearts, especially Lolli, her buddy. She turns 4 New Year’s Eve, and we can’t wait to watch her grow in 2025.
We are trying to make time for friends and family, going out to dinners and catching up. We finally managed to drop in on our dear friend, Mama Lucille, a matriarch of the faith, and such a lovely person! We even took the time to travel to Tennessee for a friend’s daughter’s wedding, and we added a couple days to visit with our dear friends nearby.
We are so missing family and friends who are no longer with us, including furry friends, but enjoying this season of love and hope.
Christmas time is here – we are wishing happiness and cheer to all!
